It has been a busy couple of months after picking up the DTR in early June. Finally got it polished out and cleaned up. The last couple of weeks have been busy getting a tune and dead pedal ordered and installed. A big thank you to martyo and the crew at Mo’s Speedshop and BigCars4Ever and Dead Pedals Plus! I can’t decide if I like the dead pedal or the tune better. I also installed the chin spoiler last month.

The tune definitely woke the car up. It was enjoyable before, but now I want to drive it all the time. Although I only have a few miles driving with the dead pedal it makes it much more comfortable to drive.

I want to get some good pics taken soon, but the ones below are a few decent ones so far.

I am more than happy with the car and the condition it was in when purchased. I did take the southwest portion of Route 66 on the way home from California after purchasing the car. I still need to complete the Illinois portion someday. I have already received the DTR remarks and pretty much ignore them. Since 8UWITH6 is working on the Eaton swap now, I'm going to have to resist the urge for boost after he is complete. If I don't resist maybe I can disprove the slowest color myth.

Looks really good.

Now, you need to bring it to next year's Kentucky meet.

I plan on making it to Kentucky next year and would like to head to Chicago for Marauderville. However, Chicago may not happen due to work.

Try to make it to Chicago and do the IL Rt 66 route. Two birds with one stone.

Wow that. Is a sweet clean ride!

Did you really buy in California? Where? And wasn't 66 an awesome drive?

I just got the time off for Chicago! I'm looking forward to the trip and will probably do Route 66 from Springfield north on Wed. It will be great meeting fellow enthusiasts.
