Anybody got times to post? How about some kill stories? I'm still working and have to Saturday also, but plan to be there Sunday.

Amazing to me, too. I went today (Sunday, last day of event) and the only Marauder I saw inside the gates was Dennis'. I didn't take mine inside the gates, just went in as a spectator. Didn't even have time to wash it after the 14 hr work day on Sat, so it wasn't even presentable for the show.

Dennis was running just as I got there, I believe he turned an 11.8 or so. It was really neat to see the crowd when the Marauder pulled up to the tree. They love to see these things run. I wish there had been more of them there.

Todd, Barry, etc, did y'all make it on Friday and Saturday? Hope we do better for FFW Bristol! Maybe I'll have to get another one of those t-shirts then. See Billy's supercharger thread for a pic of it. I love the GT, especially the white with blue stripes.

Dennis was there with his "Cobra" blown MM. :bows: He had a good run in the morning.....but I will let Dennis give the details. There wasn't anyone I recognized but I left a note on a Marauder in the parking lot (from Cleveland, GA) telling him about MM.net.

I went Friday for awhile (with Donny Carlson in tow). We got to see some runs, including Jeff from Team Ford (Shankin on here) in his Turbo Mustang. 10.6 with a bad launch.

We didn't stay long on Friday. Saturday, we went over after our breakfast. We never could find Dennis or see him run. We heard he was running in the "True Street". Sorry to miss his Cobra/Marauder.

No other Marauders were running as far as I know. Steve, I left a note on one I saw in the parking lot, as well.

I spent a some time finalizing some custom, billet-aluminum control arms and Watts link with one of the suppliers there. I'm looking forward to those.

Do these change the pinion angle?

No...these are made MUCH differently.

TRUE Stock length, solid billet aluminum with custom poly-bushings...

Maybe someday you'll get a chance to drive my car with them.

Interesting. Why the poly bushings?

The owner/designer of the company has years of experience making control arms for large sedans. Most famously, the Impala SS which apparently had a rather large, inherant problem with "centering" of the rear axel. His experience with the Impala allowed him to develop a patented bushing/housing that has been tested on large vehicles like the Marauder. After his years of success with the Impala arms, he suggested we try the same with the Marauder. He was actually in the process of making these for a vendor on this board...so, he had already begun some of the development.

I hope this answers your question, Marty...please feel free to let me know if you want more info.

Didn't the owner post here once? I recall that Impala story

Didn't the owner post here once? I recall that Impala storyNo...no connections to the site. And, I'm going to put him in touch with Logan to see if he wants to become a vendor...otherwise, these are going to be just pursued by me...(and a couple others that were involved in the conversation).
I think the SS issue is a fairly well-known and recognized "trait" that the car had, though.

EDIT: For the record, these are not being pursued as a group buy at this time. These are "one-offs" that me and a couple other Southern Marauders discussed with the owner. Whether he works out something or not to offer them here through Logan will be between them.

Sounds very secretive...this stuff always seduces me.
