This was so easy once I decided to do it I could not believe I waited 3 years to complete it.

I covered the airbag warning label the first week I owned the car. I tried color matching vinyl, matching headliner material, stickers…never really liked any of them. Then I got inspiration from a Lincoln Town Car. The Town Car has a pouch around the visor which allows you to slide items inside. But the Town Car still has an airbag warning label next to it.

I bought two spare visors 3 years ago. All you really need are the small backup visors for this modification.

Step 1 remove the material from the backup visors.

Step 2 find thin cardboard like a cereal box and cut a piece the width of the warning label and the height of the visor.

Step 3 layout material and cardboard cut away excess material.

Step 4 using 3M photo adhesive and packing tape spray material and cardboard. Use the packing tape to hold the inside edges down and provide a smooth inside for sliding items in after assembly.

Step 5 using a household iron smooth the material.

Step 6 remove mirrors from visors. Pry bottom edge first. There are 3 tabs on the bottom. Remove the top of the mirror from the side upper corner.

Step 7 align cardboard over warning label. Lay material in mirror opening and use mirror to hold material in place. Putting the top in first works best. Lay material in bottom and secure mirror at the bottom.

Told you it was easy. You can even do it without removing the mirrors from the car. The price for used visors will go up after a few see how easy this is to do so snag some visors soon.

Here are some pictures taken during the steps.

I actually read that everytime a passenger gets in the car, to advise them of the airbags, the dangers, and ill point to their locations. Is there a way you could make this, but still read the warning?

Super idea ! I don't even care about the warning stickers ; this would be worth doing just for the extra spot to put toll receipts, parking passes etc.

If you ever rode with me you would know that the airbag warning is the least of your concerns so it is always passenger beware.

ChiTown I love your label. Made me laugh out loud.

I did not use a Town Car visor for the modification I used a salvaged Marauder visor. All you need is a visor the same color as your headliner.

You no visors, me no wipers. Staring to sound like parts cars around here. LOL
