First, let me apologize if this should be in the "Brakes" post; but it's not for my Marauder, so I figured here maybe the right place.

Anyway...

Going to do the front brakes on my 2011 Fusion AWD Sport, and was wondering if the screws in the rotors, are REALLY necessary to replace?
I understand they are going to be a bugger to get out, so I don't know if new ones need to go back in. (I personally don't see the point on why...but...), that's why I've come to ask you all.

P.S. It is awesome to see RockAuto here now! I've used these guys for the longest time now; and it is fantastic! Even with shipping to Canada, its cheaper than buying here!

No you don't have to put them on the new rotors, they are only put on during the manufacturing to keep them on the hubs until the wheels are installed.

If your new rotors have the screw spot for them you put them on if you choose to. I carried them over to the new rotors I put on my Taurus, I believe it was a T-40 torx.

How do you like your AWD Sport?

Thanks guys.

Oooo Wee!! It's awesome. All the bells and whistles; comfortable; VERY quiet inside; and really, really "peppy". (Although the gas mileage could be better...but that's why they now have Ecoboosts right? ).
I've never had AWD before. In the snow (w/ snow tires)..it grips like "nobody's business"!

A $13 hand impact works wonders on this type of screw.
