Who would be interested in a starter immobilizer?

Simple install....

Remove the start relay in the power distribution box

Plug in new relay (can switch the cover from OEM relay so it looks the same as the others)

Before you start your car press a button on a key fob

No button press... starter will not work

After you turn off the car and your about 25 feet away, the system disengages and the starter won't work

Relay and transmitter have rolling codes to make it more secure.

Trying to keep it in the $75.00 to $95.00 range.

1 x relay
2 x key fobs
1 x instructions

Been testing one for a week and it looks good so far.

I'm very interested. I know this isn't a savior of my car being stolen but every little bit helps. Keep me posted

I thief might look elsewhere since it seems like the battery or starter is bad.... at least they can't drive off with it.

Anything you do to slow down a crook is a good thing:)

What does the PATs system do then? I thought, perhaps wrongly the car wouldn't start w/o a proper key.

This is in addition to the PATS system.

Unless the relay is activated by the key fob the car won't crank.

I'll try to post a video this weekend.

I don't mean to badger you Jim but if the car won't start w/o a key isn't a special relay pointless? Just trying to understand. :)

If someone was able to clone the key or if you didn't want someone that has access to the keys to use your Marauder they couldn't without the fob.

Got mine installed and it works just like advertised.
I recommend this. For me its one more part of a layered defense strategy. If I accidently drop my keys for example, and an opportunistic joy rider gets them, it won't start for them.
As they say, nothing is perfect but every little bit helps.
Once again, thank you Jim.

So you got one? Haven't hear anymore about this until now. Still interested

Yes. I got one. Took a few weeks to get around to installing it (my problem, not the product). Jim sent very good, detailed instructions with pictures and arrows, indicating which relay to replace and it was very easy to install. I did have to use a screwdriver to gently pry the original relay out. It had been in a long time and liked where it was. Product works as he said it does. I got this and his gearshift surround at the same time and I am very happy with both.
