Got my car back from the shop after a routine road force balance and it started, made a real bad noise and would not turn over. Turned over and it ran like brick in a dryer....sounded like too. Prelim diagnosis...thrown rod. Never been here so I am taking all suggestions.

That would of been the first thing I checked. I always take note of that whenever I have to leave any of my vehicles somewhere.
