I've seen a few threads on installing HID fog lights, most looked like a HID wasn't meant to go in our cars. Does anyone have a write up with pictures how to properly installed a HID bulb, H1 I presume? I prefer not to silicone my stuff up, seems cheap to me.

Use an H10 bulb. You will need to use silicone because the H10 bulb doesn't seal properly in the housing. You'll never see the silicone.

Well it sounds like a better option than the H1 for sure.. It seems we need a good perfect fit kit for these fog lights, with as few Marauders as there are, I doubt it will happen.

Thanks

Yes what he said takes a little time but worth it. Just make hole a snug fit then seal it. Have to silicone it no way around it.

H10 35w kit with the color of your choice, slight filing down of a raised bump on the tab and it plugs right in. Add the silicone, mount the ballast and plug it all in. You may wanna remove the fog lamps to install the bulbs and apply the silicone. It will make life easier.

Got em installed today. H10 35w as suggested. The minor grinding on the bulb was no issue at all.. Slathered in silicone, and bolted back in. Looks nice in the daylight, I'll try to get some pictures tonight. Thanks for the help.

It's like driving with headlights with JUST the fog lights on.. Love em.. Here are just the foglights :

And how they look shining on some brick :

Here's a comparison of the stock bulbs in the headlights to the HID :

It literally took 30-45 minutes to remove foglights, install these properly, wire them up, and bolt them all back in. Well worth it.
