Hello to all the Marauder owners and site members. I am relieved to say, after waiting impatiently until life events aligned to support my desire to own a Marauder, I bought a Black on Grey '03 last week. The car is in pretty good shape, totally stock with 57K on the clock. I have many questions I will be posting in the near future. Before I start asking, I will go through some of the past threads so as not to be too redundant. Perhaps a quick tip on the site navigation to guide me to performance related discussions would help. I would also like to get some technical info, like that found in a shop manual...any suggestions for down loads?

I look forward to sharing the Marauder passion with all of you. Thanks for being there.

Welcome from the Akron area. Congrats on the Marauder. We were all new once, ask quetions whenever you like if you don;t find what you are looking for. The search function here is not so well, better to use like google and type question and usually pulls up a thread/post from this forum. I highly recommend a "tune" from one of our vendors, Marty from MO's Speed shop. It is plug and play right at your house. downloads thru SCT unit thrui OBD port and adds 20 or more HP and changes the shift shcedule to stop the searching around for which gear it likes. (Factory tune gets to overdrive very quickly for fuel economy sakes)

Thanks for the tune information. I am getting two consistent recommendations on my car. A 4.10 gear set and a tune. Looking on line, there seem to be several companies offering tunes. Most advertising 10 hp and 20 fpt, plus the shift tuning. It sounds as if Marty can offer a tune that delivers 20hp! That's great. I will look him up and ask about the details.

Just one quick question. I see you have a 4.10 gear ratio. At 70mph, I am at 2000RPM with the 3.55 stock ratio. What RPM would I be at with a 4.10 ratio?

Let me know if you have any plans to come around the Dayton, Troy or Tipp City area. I would love to meet you and see your Marauder. Thanks again.

I'm at 2500 rpm at about 70. Definitely talk to Marty here about a tune . I know he is traveling today but he is active on the site daily and has his own page here under vendor heading. Mo's speed shop. I've been there in person twice. Member spectragod lives in Dayton. You need to see his car. He'll chime in I'm sure.

Welcome to the collective, you have a very capable speed shop right in your town, Warrior Racing, beyond the ability to just fix your car, they have a machine shop on site and a fabrication facility with very state of the art equipment.

My car is a POS, my oil is rusty from lack of driving, it's a DTR and is the slowest of all 4 colors, but I would like to see your new toy......

PM me, we can get together.

Darrin (spectragod) hypes up his car a lot. It literally collects dust and he also has a hoarding problem of things relating to marauders but will never admit it.

I would like to thank all of you who took the time to welcome me to this "Comrauderacy of Marauderacy" (I know it's weak, but it's Friday). Thanks to TMWLCH1 for sharing the manual download link, thanks to Stryker for his welcome message, and thanks to two fellow Buckeyes, RubberCtyRaud (RCR) and Spectragod, both of whom I hope to soon meet.

Hey RCR (Hope you don't mind the acronyms), I think I get what you are saying about Spectra. You would think someone who had the automotive knowledge and appreciation of the Marauders evolution and eventual 2003 introduction would not let one set with "rusty oil". Oh well, it takes all types.

Spectra, yes, I am familiar with Warrior Racing. I had them do some suspension work on my SuperCrew a few years ago. I live about 4 miles from their shop. It sounds as if you are local to my area. I will PM you if you promise to change your oil.

My oil isn't rusty, just a joke another member made about my MM as I don't drive it much/at all.

You are welcome. I live in Howland Ohio near Warren. I do not have as much information as most on here because I am new also. We do have Car Cruises every Friday at My wife's Virtual shooting range from 6pm to 9pm. if no rain. We have tonight and then two more for the season. Then restart next May. Good luck the mod bug has already hit me. Have a Mo's tune and getting 410's put in next week.:burnout:
