I was looking through the paper today and saw an ad for Varsity Lincoln Mercury and it had new 2004 MM's for $23,995. This included a $7500 rebate. This has got to be the deal of the century. Almost makes me tempted to trade my "03" for a "04". Can't do that, I love my car too much to let it go.

My goodness, it makes me feel like I got ripped off when I bought my 04 :(

However, I did opt for the financing instead of the rebate, and that $7500 rebate probably includes the manufacturer rebate with it. However if new 04 Marauder's are selling for $24k including the factory rebate, that's gonna put a hurting on the resale value for those of us currently with one. Thank goodness I don't plan on selling mine :)

I went to there site and I'm trying to figure out their incentives chart. http://www.varsitylincmerc.com/incentives.htm Anyone know what exactly "RCL incentives" are? I'm guessing RCL is only at that dealership? So probably no chance of me getting those deals down here in Florida. Also under retail incentives it says $1,250 bonus cash. So since it's retail I should be able to get that at my local delear? (Sorry for all the questions, I'm just still looking to buy a new MM but I'm still waiting out for getting one in the 29k-28k range and this looks like it could be my chance!)

you have to be careful with those low priced listings. They often include every possible incentive and rebate, which most people only qualify for a few of. so no one really buys at the ultra low price

I believe RCL means "Returning Customer Loyalty" cash back, which means you have a previous Mercury or Lincoln you want to trade in...or else it means "Red Carpet Lease", in which case you are turning in a previously leased vehicle, and get an extra incentive.

Because I was buying without having a car to trade, I didn't qualify...As RCSignals points out, there is lots of advertising, but the facts may not apply to all individual circumstances.

I like the 300A too much. I know that the trannie was upgraded in the "04's" but I like the content in the 03 300A's. Plus I have done too much to mine now to let it go and start over.

The Marauder is by far the better value at those prices

They have been advertising that price for a while, but there is a catch. See below:

That price is only for those eligible for A or Z plan. So unless you are a Ford employee or close supplier, forget it. But for those that are eligible, it is a steal.

Their goal is to get you in the door and sell you something. They don't care what model as long as you purchase one of their vehicles.

That is still just way too frickin scummy. There are a couple L/M dealers around here that not only advertise deceptively like that, but take it a step further by putting such prices on the windshield of the vehicles that are supposedly "for sale." I remember one dealer during my search for a Marauder had an Aviator with a price on the windshield that was $12k off sticker, to find out I wouldn't qualify for the price anyhow. The 2 most honest dealers i've ever dealt with in my life have been John Nolan Ford(they do not advertise deceptively), and Land Rover Cincinnati(they always post the REAL price that most people qualify for).

Mustang Cobra or Ford F-150 lighting. Mid life who knows! But then I saw the MM, That did it!! But when I went to MY DEALERSHIP and asked for a broucher and the said we dont have one but we have one you can look at, and the rest is history!!!!! I hope you all find the deal you are lookiing for. Get The MM Rauder of your choice! Black, Blue, Red or Silver. Then Mod them to your needs!!!!! Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!1

As some Marauder owners start piling on the mileage, I wonder if any engine swaps are a possibility. I know there are various stroker kits out there that will help you increase displacement, but I wonder how durable and reliable they are? Overboring the Marauder motor is out of the question, correct?
