Just upgraded to a 2003 Mercury Marauder from a 2002 Crown Victoria LX Sport. (Sure, the MM has 10k more miles than the Sport, but it's still an upgrade!)

The Marauder has 116,000 miles and I bought from a retired school teacher in Seattle. He was the original owner and only had it serviced at the Ford dealer.

Amazing car.

Congrats. I'm wondering how different it feels in all aspects compared to the Crown Vic.

Going from an 04 MGM to an 04 Marauder with almost the same miles...the biggest difference is the ego change. :) But in all reality, I noticed the changes in handling more than anything else.

Congrats. I'm wondering how different it feels in all aspects compared to the Crown Vic.

The most noticeable differences between the CV LX Sport are the suspension and power. The MM is MUCH stiffer than the soft Crown Vic suspension. The torque and HP upgrades are next.

I really loved my LX Sport, the "working man's Marauder," but with its power and suspension upgrades - not to mention the 18" Mercury wheels - the car is just one sexy beast. Add to that, my CV was silver and my Marauder is black. I know we all have our own taste, but bad ass cars like these should be black.

To that end, I used black Plasti-dip on the Mercury badges on the grill and trunk. The product is amazing! If you screw up - which I did on the front - you can just peel it off and do it again.
