Ok, when I did my boost a pump I wired it "in front" of the FPDM with a relay etc. and the proper gauge wire. I also have an upgraded FPDM.
My question is I will now be doing twin pumps in a couple weeks here. So I'll have 4 wires running to the FPDM. How close to the FPDM are people running bigger wire to help with the extra load?
It seems you can only get so close before having to connect to the 14 or 16 gauge that comes out of the FPDM. Well really the Harness to the FPDM.
So are you guys who have done this just re pinning the Harness connector with the new wires or what?
Any tips, pics or anything else would be great. Thanks thanks.
You are leaving a lot on the table if you dont use this:

I will be using that, and that's I guess my question. When I get the 4 new wires up the the connector for the FPDM did you re pin the new two new wires into the connector, or did you just solder to the existing wire as close as is practical to the connector?

I never had much luck with 2 pumps, especially GT pumps like other guys do.
Return Style FTW

Good to hear on the soldering, thanks much as usual sir.
On the two pumps, hopefully it'll be ok for my needs, we'll see.
I don't really want to go return style, mainly because I don't know that I really understand the tuning implications just yet (and my tuning software is already a pain as it is).
Also I'd like to practice doing fuel line mods on a POS first, since it's something I haven't done. I have replaced a fair amount of the fuel system at this point, but actually going to a different type of delivery, and running my own new line would be a first.
If I am more flush with cash after my NSF gig is over maybe I'll put in the money and have this car make the kind of power it should have been for years now.
What pump is in there now?

Single GT pump with the BAP. I got the OD crank pulley and belt working properly and promptly ran out of fuel.
Well Ran out of fuel for me anyway, went up to 12.4 at the top so I got out of it. O2 sensor is maybe 4 inches from the collector.
AEM 320's are excellent pumps and quiet.

I thought about going that direction too. I never figured out the specs completely to know whether I could run it with a BAP, if I could get by with 1 vs 2 ETC.
Run the 2nd pump off of a Hobbs switch so it isn't on full time.
You shouldn't need a BAP anymore.

That would be the way to go if I went to a return system ya ?
If you add a 2nd pump in your current config a BAP should be unnecessary

Was told that the AEM pumps should stay under 16 volts, so wouldn't recommend it with a BAP just get the two AEMs pumps and call it a day. Should support what ever you plan on doing.
