These BFG's are for the birds. I tied up with a tuned bolt on 2009 SRT8 last night and it was like I was on ice. Could only run beyond 40 mph. If i floored it any lower than that it would break loose.

I've been thinking of going with some 265/50's, but I'm also wanting to widen my wheels sometime early next year. other than drag radials, what would be a good choice for better grip?

The only tire i know of in the 265-50-18 is the Nitto 555. I don;t think any other manufacturer that I am aware of has that size

Correct, Nitto is the only company that makes 265/50.

That's currently what is on my car but I think I am going to switch back to a 255/55, can get something with better tread life for a little bit less, plus I'll have crazy rake with 255/45 on the front. lol

I replaced the BFG's when they started to get side wall blisters. I had less than 5,000 miles on them.

I placed the Nitto, Motivo line on the Marauder. They work great in dry and wet conditions. The 265/50 have no issues in the back fender.

How sticky are they? I'm sure not sticky like like a drag radial, but hopefully more sticky than a BFG.

Get the 555's if your looking for more grip. Just not as good on wet days but who cares!

I know what you mean, seems with a touch of the throttle at low speeds and the car lights the stock tires up. I will be upgrading to a 20" wheel and a meaty 295 or so in the rear when I have space for more storage to keep my stocks.

I just bought the 265 50's in the Nitto 555. They work nice and fit better! looks great from the rear! But, I would find the best internet deal and call a local shop and see if they can match it.

I see that you bought the Motivos with the sticky tread compound.

Yes, and there is no comparison to the BFG's. I'd still prefer a little harder sidewall, but these are big cars and for the $, I'm not sure they can be beat. IMHO!

My Michelin guy is hoping he will have some comp sizes soon, but they will be$200-$400 more for sure.

Please note: I live in NorCal, this is not my DD, and I don't drive it in rain or snow... But the Motivo's are rated/stated to handle both fairly we'll.
