Ive always wondered how a Marauder would look with a mini tub setup! I would love to do a 14" wide 20" wheel and a set of Mickey Thompson street radials.

That pic 1stMerc posted is one of my favorites! I think a 14" wide wheel would be perfect for my idea.

When I see that pic with wheels that wide, I keep expecting to see a 9-inch there.

Said my ex girlfriend

Every time I see a guy tub their car, I chuckle as a 10" tire car smokes by.
If it's for the look, do it, if for the hook, don't bother.

You make an excellent point , my intention with this car has remained consistent in that I have 0 interest in racing it , imo its far to big , and heavy for that as far as im concerned , I don't want to do a full tub job , just a conservative mini tub , and yes it would be for the look (hell I bought the car for the look)

I have always liked the mini tub look , so ill give it some thought as a future project , assuming I don't sell it!

My sole purpose with this car is a show/street car with decent RWHP , nothing more.

mini tubs will ensure that you never sell it, or deduct the cost of the tub job from the cars future value and limited potential buying market.
Worst waste of time/money in over 35 years and hundreds of cars was the mini tubbed, 4 link car I did to look cool.
And my stock suspension car, with the same engine from the tubbed car, was faster and more consistent.
It didn't look as cool when I lost so much $$ and waited to sell it. Plus, it handled like a baby carriage!

Cant disagree with that! but lets be brutally honest these cars don't have any resale value anyhow!

I know many hate to come to terms with this , but these cars will not bring a huge resale value in any form be it low miles, one owner garage kept , and built , on the high end they get what maybe 13-15K! ill burn mines first!:depress:

Yup.
Decent resale for one owner low mile cars, but $30k invested an a sweet Eaton swap car, like you said, resale = half. Same as any hot rod.
So, let's build 'em how WE want 'em = tub it!

I'm pretty sure I could fit 345's on my 11" wheels without issues.:coolman: Would look really good, but it's hard to find a 345 that is tall enough to look right in the wheel opening. Plus 345's cost a lot!

Real talk, there's no real resale on em. May as well do whatever you want I'd say. If it sells it sells, if it doesn't it doesn't. Mines been for sale so long I think my for sale ad is like 5 or 6 significant mods behind

My sole purpose with this car is a show/street car with decent RWHP , nothing more. Not even once, take it down the 1320 just to see what it can do, that's will power. PS: Nice Machine :)

You don't have any interest in racing it, but we would like to see it go down the 1320 at least once. :burnout::beatnik:

I swore that on one of my recent cars, sold before I tracked it, new owner got 11.54 - ouch!

car before that, sold before I tracked it, new owner went right off the trailer to 10.33

Can't always call it ;)
