It appears from the many posts that I've read, that some U.S. Ford /Mercury dealers will perform modifications and honor the MM's warranty.Owner installed mods (chip , plugs etc . ) also seem to get the green light
Has anybody in Canada had any experiences with this ?

Around here (Chicagoland) it's a dealer by dealer decision, which probably has a lot to do with how you approach them on the topic.
Dennis Reinhart told me he's selling his "package" left and right to Fla. dealers who are upgrading cars in advance of sale as a dealer "add-on."
According to the pros at FlatRateTech.com, most certified techs and SMs don't seem to have a problem with mods, as long as they are consistent with FMCs SVT endeavors. So, why not shop around, see what you can get agreement on?
Having a dealer do the work will be more expensive. But, that's probably your best route too, just in case you need your warranty down the road, IMHO.
