Disable the motor from starting

My Marauder has been sitting in the garage for approximately two years without being started. I have a battery tender on the battery.

What's the easiest way to disable the motor from starting? Could I pull the fuse for the ECM? I want to prime the engine (oil) before starting it.

The oil pump doesn't really pump enough oil at starter speed to properly prime these cars after they have been sitting for a long time IMHO. I have tested it with a mechanical gauge and it's basically zero, nothing I'm comfortable with.
I have found that you can use the starter if you remove the plugs and pressurize the system with the sprayer. Then you will have pressurized oil pumping through the system where you need it as you're turning the motor over.
On a new build, the assembly lube is there to help you but without that, dry starting can cause issues that don't show their face until later on.
Bleach sprayers cost like $15 and have a 100% success rate.

It depends on the climate/conditions, 5 months seems ok but 2yrs or more I would prime it. Again that is just me if you choose not to that is fine too.

The Blackbird sits from November to April every year and I find about 10-15 seconds of cranking gives me a reading on the OP gauge. I then stop cranking, take my foot off the gas, and crank it again. Fires right up.

How do you prime it with a bleach sprayer? First time I'm ever hearing of using a sprayer as a primer.

I always used to crank the motor to prime the oil.

On the SBF motors you could use a drill to build up oil pressure, which would spin the oil pump without spinning the crankshaft. No news there, everyone knows this.

On the Modular engines, the oil pump is istalled over the crankshaft, so there is no way to spin the oil pump without spinning the crankshaft. The sprayer simply pressurizes the oil before spinning the crank over, the starter doesn't really spin the oil pump fast enough to build a lot of pressure, pressure builds once the engine fires.

If you have a tune the petal to the floor no start feature may have been disabled.

I've searched the bug sprayer option and it seems like it is only used for a dry engine: One that has no oil and is ready for priming.

What about an engine that has sat for a while and you want to pump up the cam chain tensioners?

Is there a better method than cranking with the gas pedal to the floor?

If the car has been sitting for over 90 days, you should remove the spark plugs and add some form of lubricant into the cylinders, like Marvel Mystery Oil, before these parts start moving or to free up any stuck piston rings.

With the spark plugs removed, turn the engine over with the key several times to let the oil you put into the cylinders lubricate the cylinder walls and to prime the oil and fuel pumps prior to ignition. You should keep cranking the engine until the oil pressure gauge reads normal or your oil pressure light goes out before returning the spark plugs and leads back to their correct position.
