My folks and I have been debating about this for a few months, and we knew it was going to happen. We had to put Bud (our dog) to sleep. He has been with with us for almost 15 yrs!!!!!!!! He was a bloodhound Boxer mix. 120 pounds and arthritis was to much for him to deal with. He is now resting in peace. We cant stop crying. Time heals all wounds I just it would hurry up!!!!

Aww man, I'm sorry. It's funny how four legged creatures really grow on us. Hang in there! Time will take the pain away, but don't let it take the memories away! :)

As they say time heals all wounds. You have lost any important member of your family, one of the kids. You have my condolances and sympathy. He is now chasing cats and rabbits to his content

On 1-30-04 buried our 10 year old Yorkie, had to put her down due to a brain tumor.
Buried her in the back yard, :bigcry: the whole time.
On Friday my 9 yer old was standing over her grave :bigcry:.
Know how ya feel, will keep you in our prayers.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It will get better with time. My Gracie (chocolate lab, 14+) went to doggy heaven last summer, she is sitting in an urn next to the computer right now... I still miss her every day.
Take care!

My sympathies to you. Our dog Kody, a Keeshond, died 2 yrs ago and it still affects me. My wife is shopping for a new dog, but the thought of the eventual/inevitable loss still dampens my enthusiasm. :(

Patrick, being a dog owner and involved in rescue I go through this more often than most people. I find comfort in the belief that one can either burn long or burn bright. Dogs burn bright.

Sorry to hear about your "family member". I have had to put down several old friends over the years too for health reasons. It is always hard. I am sure it was for the best.

Sorry for your loss, had to do the same thing a year ago to my best friend after 15 years, still get choked up about it. Waited a few months and adopted another dog who is 1 now and endears himself more and more to us everyday.
Nothing replaces such a loss. But the love they gave us will never leave our hearts.

Sorry to hear about this Patrick. Take comfort that at least he isn't in pain anymore, and he's in a better place.

The loss of a loved on is never easy. With a pet, the joy they bring to our lives far outweighs the pain of their demise.
my canine gang, Bogey, Tucker, & Dante,se nd their thoughts and prayers to you and your beloved Bud.
