My setup is 2 GT 40 fuel pumps, modded FPDM, all wires are upgraded with the boost a pump wired pre FPDM. I drove my car with no problem, parked it and now when I start the 30am fuse blows that's connected inline to the boost a pump. I checked the grounds and that was fine. Could this be a bad fuel pump? bad boost a pump? Bad FPDM? I tried to let the car sit and replace the fuse but no luck. Looks like I'm going to have to get towed. This bill will be high as hell b/c I'm pretty about 25 miles from home.

Problem was a bad boost a pump. I hot wired the pumps from the fpdm connector fused still of course and nothing blew the fuse. I let the pumps run for a minute solid. Then I just bypassed the boost a pump all together and she's running. I see a lot of guys with my setup not running a boost a pump at all. Modded fpdm and two gt40 pumps. Trying see if it's even worth me buying a new one. The one I had was used.

At least you didn't have to go back into the tank. Glad your up and running. Did you have to tow it?
I thought that 2 fpdm had to be used to drive 2 pumps?
I am at the limits of my single and considering which way to go.

Everyone does it with just the one modified fpdm. But when I thought the coast was clear the car shut off. Fpdm smelt smoky, but my setup has been running this way for years. I'm really thinking a bad pump now since I cut out the boost a pump and after hooking my meter up to the boost a pump the voltage coming out of that looks good.

I see BAP's as another component to fail.....when I eventually get to you guy's power level I will stay as far away from BAP's as possible

I'm def pulling over 30amps of current right now so it must be a bad pump or something going on in the fuel tank.

Make several WOT runs and if the engine doesn't blow you don't need it.

After finally getting a chance to test the pumps today they both power up but one sounds kinda funny clearly thats my problem thats pulling more current than needed. Maybe the fuel pre filter is binding not sure but tomorrow I will pull the pumps and get a close up look. Trying to decide do I want to switch both out to AEM 320's.

The pump on the right without the sock works but sound crazy lol. Welp time for new pumps. Guess I'll order two AEM 320'S also for people who wanted to see the racetronnix bulk head fitting installed there you go.
