BFG doesn't even list them on their website, nor does tire rack. Is this the end?
I've been debating about a wheel swap to help fit bigger front brakes, but I love the BFG tires and was hesitating as I have not yet found anything better for turn-in and handling.
I guess that is not a consideration anymore. Sure is tough to find a 5% stagger in 20 X 8.5 tires.

shouldn't need 5%, 3% is sufficient

1.2-1.5" difference in tire diameter between front and rear.

Minimum of 3%.

There are better tires out there than the stock BFGs. I just went with the stockers last time since they were dirt cheap stamped on the wrong sides, and I don't care for a taller tire back there, enough sidewall beef with the stock dimensions as it is.

I disagree, I have found the BFG to be the best out of what I have tried to include Firestone and Yokohoma Advan rear. And I have the suspension to push the tires and reveal any shortcomings in handling. We're all free to run the tires we like.
Perhaps I'll give BFG a call and ask if they still plan to make the rears.

I've never had any complaints about my BFGs. I like them. But I've never driven them in the snow or a real rain. I've been pampered in California for the last 10 years I guess. lol

Bfgs suck in snow, period. I would not buy another pair regardless.

Thought you snow people had a set of winter tires. Or even a beater car to rot in the salt.

I used to defend them, but now that I have Nitto Motivos, I could care less about the BFG rears being made or not. I would never go back.

I'll gladly use whatever is best, I have no irrational emotional attachment to a tire brand. So far that has been BFG, but I never tried Nitto based on numerous comments about floppy sidewalls. I really care about handling precision and turn-in response.

I have nittos now got tied of the thread separating of the BFG's on the rear. BFG's held the road better in hard cornering and were awesome in the rain for me. wore out in 22k mi. nittos don't seem to wear even doing burn outs. they make a lot less smoke during burn out also. everything is a compromise :shake:

Have two MM's one with BFG's and one with Nitto Motivo's. I get out of one and into the other... and the Motivo's (in my feeble mind) and IMHO out perform the BFG's

Next time you're in town let's swap wheels and I'll give them a try ;)
Edit: you're not comparing worn-out to new are you?
