2006 CV 4R75W Transmission

Selling an almost new 2006 Crown Vic Automatic Transmission.

My brother Bill bought the complete drivetrain out of a Montgomery County Md. CV Police cruiser.
He has a good friend who tows for the County and the guy gave Bill the 'heads up' on this deal.
The CV had very low miles... less than 20,000 when it was wrecked.
Bill only wanted the 4.6 SOHC motor for his 2000 CV...he does not need the transmission.

Selling the transmission for $500.
Local pick-up only...Rockville, Md. area (zip 20854)
Sorry, but I have no idea what other Panther vehicles this is a bolt-in for.

Can anyone advise me as to how a transmission will be after sitting for 7 years? I need to decide whether or not to go ahead and get this helluva deal, and take a chance. It's been stored indoors and in a dry environment. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

While this is physically a direct fit, the electronics are different between an 06 and a 03/04, just FYI
