Hi, Pass side coolant tube that runs from front down pass side block to heater core has cancer. I need to replace the tube asap.
Q. Is this the same as a CV/GM part or Mustang part or MM only?
Q. What do they cost Canadian?
Q. It looks like 2 clamps to bolts but bolt on manifold looks seized....recommendations?
Q. Just drain coolant at rad, replace part, reinstall and bleed coolant?
Q. Any tips?
thank you in advance.

Anytime the coolant system is opened, be sure to "burp" the system or you will overheat due to an air pocket keeping the coolant from circulating. instructions below

Removed mine when I put the blower on...Pack your patience, it's a funny shape to get out of there.

It doesn't look to hard to bend one but I'm not sure how important the ends are to the leak proofness, for lack of a better word.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this would be a good time for the rear cooling mod and use Seige's routing and eliminate that tube all together
Just my .02. I'm done...

Since he never responded :( I will replace it with a hose. I am going to make it long enough to sit on the wheel well, im really annoyed its a common part that jobbers do not re pop and dealers are discontinued. We are a bunch of car guys and can figure stuff out but what about someone being stranded with no automotive knowledge or someone loving cars but no mechanical ability. I call BS on this one. GRRR

It's not a common part. It's specific to the Marauder so the market for a re pop is a small percentage of the 11,052 MM's made. I believe Ford only has to have replacement parts for 10 years. As for the "no mechanical ability" or "no automotive knowledge", how hard is it to install a hose as a replacement? :dunno:

How hard is it for a non mechanical person to drain a rad, burp it with zero mechanical knowledge? I don't know. I am not the person. My wife loves cars but her mechanical knowledge is zilch. So it would be very hard for her to do it correctly by herself. but I am not here to argue....Ill just figure this out on my own. sorry to have mentioned it. didnt meant to ruffle anyones feathers

Have you tried TASKA parts online ? If you decide to burp it yourself, just private message me:help: and I'll try to help you thru. Heater Hose Part # 3W3Z-18472-AC Scroll down till you see this part# http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2003-ford-crown-victoria/heater-hose-installation-8-cyl-4-6l-sohc.html

I did thank you. A fellur posted the 'Burp" Procedure above. Similar to many cars but appreciated it just the same and will follow through. I will have to replace it with a simple 5/8ths hose. Normally I just like things perfect and factory. But if this is the only route, then it is....I always strive to do my best no matter what.
BTW....Just past Bowling Green Ky last month....BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY....I love the states
