Recently purchased an 04 with 170k on the clock. Car was not really maintained to standard and as a result has a very low/ rough idle. The guy does have service records and in looking through them its been about 30k since anything more than an oil change has been done. Im going to start with plugs and cops. Are there any other parts I should make a higher priority? Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.

Just the general stuff; change all lubes, trans, motor, differential, engine coolant and t-stat, any hoses or belts, air and fuel filters, exaust system and components, brakes and shocks, clean IAT,TPS, and MAF sensors, change drive pulleys tensioners and belt, clean battery post, clamps and make sure all ground straps are good clean and secure and then feel confident that you can take a little short trip. Let us know how the idle is when you have completed the short list. Congrats on your new purchase !

These cars idle low with a stock tune. Do as stated above and dont forget to clean out the throttle body. The wife's Marauder has 185K and runs great. Good luck with your car.
