Well, i got my first "check engine" light incident a few days ago. :fire: It was a DTC code
P0108 Manifold Abs pres/Baro press circuit high
I cleared out the code, but it popped up again today. Does anyone know what this is due to? I will be bringing it to the dealer, but it just want a heads up before i go down there. Thanks,
Frank

Frank, I did a little digging on the code P0108 and found the following special service message from Ford. There are flow charts for this in the PCED manual for the tech to follow also. Should be a fairly simple diag. Good luck.
SSM 16832
2003 VARIOUS VEHICLES - IMPROVED DIAGNOSTICS FOR DTC'S P0107 - P0108
WHEN DIAGNOSING DTC'S P0107 OR P0108 USE THE FOLLOWING: MAP VOLTAGE NECESSARY TO SET A P0107 MUST BE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 0.05V. VOLTAGE NECESSARY TO SET A P0108 MUST BE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN 4.95V. 1. VERIFY MAP PID VALUES DURING KOEO ARE LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 0.05V OR GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 4.95V. 2. IF THE MAP PID VALUES ARE OK, RE-FLASH PCM WITH THE LATEST CALIBRATION. 3. IF MAP PID VALUE IS BELOW 0.05V OR GREATER THAN 4.95V, TURN KEY OFF AND DISCONNECT ESM CONNECTOR. VISUALLY INSPECT THEN RECONNECT CONNECTOR. REPEAT STEP 1. 4. IF MAP PID VALUES ARE NOT WITHIN SPECIFICATION AFTER PERFORMING STEP 3, PROCEED WITH THE DIAGNOSTICS IN THE PC/ED MANUAL. THIS PROCEDURE WILL BE IN THE PC/ED MAP/ TMAP PINPOINT TEST 'DM' FOR 2004 MODEL YEAR. PINPOINT TEST 'DM' MAY BE USED ON ALL ESM EQUIPPED VEHICLES PRIOR TO THE 2004 MY.

Good catch Smokie, I went back and added bold letters to the section that says they will re-flash your PCM.

Thanks for the info. My car originally had the first flash the fdho and when i ordered the SCT tuner from dennis, he gave me the bdoh tune for my car which is an updated version. So i think im running the most currant version out there. Will this affect the SCT once the dealer reflashes the pcm, or could it be a bad map sensor?
Thanks carfixer for that info!!!
