So the driver side switch stopped working in the MM the other day. So I decided maybe I could find one out of a crown vic at the junkyard. Found one out of an 07 and swapped them out. The one from the crown vic works (locks and unlocks) when the car is off. But when i turn on the ignition it doesnt work. When i turn the ignition on it locks all doors but doesnt work after that. Anyone have this problem. Looking for a fix and its frustrating me. Thanks for any info.

The backlighting on my door lock switch went bad, and I also tried a later model one and ran into the same exact problem you did. I believe you have to use no newer than '05 but I'm not sure... I ended up putting back in the original switch, the backlighting on one switch is not really a major concern right now.

I'll fix it as soon as I get it, back in the mail the next day.

Sometimes just unplugging it and spraying electrical cleaner (ie. WD-40) on the contacts brings the switch back to life. Ask me how I know.

What do you charge to fix the switch? And my rear passenger door lock doesn't work do you need to have that switch too?
