Yup, after 230,000 miles they are. done.

What is a good brand or source? Rockauto?

What other cars in junkyards would have fitting parts? There are plenty of panthers here with half the mileage of mine.

Thanks in advance. Options are nice.

At that age, everyone here will suggest you do entire control arms so that bushing are replaced along with ball joints.

Ford/Motorcraft
Raybestos
Moog

I would seriously avoid using junkyard wearable suspension components. Just not a good idea. The lower ball joints can be pressed in and out of the control arm, but you'll need new ones. Upper ball joints are only serviced with the control arm.

Motorcraft upper and lower control arms and call it done - spend a little more to do it right and have it be good for the rest of the life of the car.

Oh yeah I forgot it was a given that if I went to a yard a whole component would be needed. I had help with this with the wife's truck and we needed to replace the whole control arm. I would imagine the same with this machine.

Dom, listen to Logizyme. Motorcraft or Raybestos. Moog used to be top-notch but I've heard complaints about their quality being hit-or-miss recently with Chinese-sourced parts.

Check with your service adviser in the junkyard for proper fitment.

Are the control arms the same as the police ones or are they MM specific?

For this fix I would use new parts. However I understand with the "band" just starting out on the road to fame you would be short of money.

Sometimes you can fix things for cheap, this is not one of those.

I would imagine they are the same, But I would like to know for sure.

Go to www.rockauto.com and look at the different year CV / GM / Marauder parts. Write the P/N's down then compare them.
