On my last visit to Mo's I saw a MM with Nitto 265/50/18' s. Liked the look, so I'm going for it. Can't fork out the money to widen my wheels yet and I need rear tires.

What tire pressure do you guys run to prevent the rear from wearing down the middle?

I think the BFG"s just wear in the middle, on the nitto"s i run 36 psi. this works good for me,but maybe some others can offer up their thoughts.

Now that you say that, my BFG'S on my '96 Impala did the same thing. The tires I just removed had approx. 50% on the sides and worn in the middle

If it wears in the middle, it's because it was over inflated.
I run 35 lbs in the front to account for the weight of the motor...and 33 lbs in the back...works well (even wear)...

I usually run 35 all around. Didn't seem to matter here, but they were already on the car when I purchased it at 30k miles

Not true with the OEM HORRIBLE tires!!:shake:
The rears wear in the middle from UNDER INFLATION due to centrifugal "run out" in the middle at high speeds!!:mad2: Around town and at slower speeds the problem is not as big a deal!!:shake:
When I ran them I got the best mileage at 45 PSI......still only about 20K mile though!!:(
Nitto on the rear give me around 50K miles.....MUCH BETTER street tires!!
I run a 295-45-18 nitto on my 9.5" rears at 28 psi. Even wear and good traction. Any more and center wears quickly and traction suffers.

Wish I had that problem. Hoping for widened wheels.

^I'm running the same front tires as that car.
They were cheap as hell but I've been pretty happy with them so far.

I'll post a pic of the bottle. Picked it up on a trial run to the dollar store. I love it. Beats buying that good stuff off the supply truck for $80.

Looks nice! I have the Nitto 265's also. Good so far & they shine up nice! Now I can't wait to get the 255 45's Nittos on the front to compliment the whole setup!

Did any of you lower the ride height a little after installing these rear tires?
