as seen here, the latch wont hold the door flush against the body so anyone can easily pick it open (actually logizyme was the one to point out that flaw as always :mad2: ) so i was looking for ideas of solving this. I figure i could add some putty equivalent material to simply add more thickness to the latch hook so itll pull the door closer. might look goofy. ideas?

on another note its time for a wash!

I think there is some adjustment. I have the same problem although not as bad.

if its there i havent found it. tried unscrewing the two screws holding the latch to see if there was any room for adjusting it but nothing.

I have this problem too. I'm following this thread. Hope someone comes up with a fix.

I have an 04 so no fuel release door..but isn;t it a cable? maybe trace it to see if there is a jam nut or something that could take up some slack

I glued a square key way to the latch. Has worked well and was the right size for it to close flush.

No, it has worked fine. I used super glue to attach it, have been surprised by how well it has held up.
