Local Georgia CV owner brought his pristine 2009 silver CVPI to me today. He was complaining it had a random, weird 1-2 upshift. He also wanted a Jmod done.

I pulled the pan and found the filter had fallen out of the grommet and was laying the pan.

Removed the valve body and gave it good cleaning. Found the Pressure regulator valve, boost valve and OD regulator valve were worn.

New Sonnax shift valves were installed in the valve body. The factory separator plate was replace with a Superior Tuff plate and drilled for Jmod. I drilled the required holes on the conservative side and NO spring changes were performed.

The end result was perfection... shifts are crisp and consistent with out harshness.

At least there was no excessive sludge on the magnet, so that's a good sign.

I thought an '09 would already have the upgraded PRV, etc?

Yeah, the pan and the magnet were spotless

The factory never updated the PRV... the parts I am using are an improved design aftermarket part made by Sonnax.
