I've got a an odd whirring sound that has been botherin the mess out of me ever since I bought the car some 7 months ago.
The odd part about the noise is that it really only occurs around 67 - 75 mph. Above or below that, I don't notice it much at all really. It resonates throughout the cabin and is really noticeable around that speed range. Sounds like it's comin from the rear end mostly. Another odd thing is that it only happens during acceleration. If I let off the gas, I don't hear it. When I hit the pedal again, even just to maintain 70mph or so, it starts up again.
I'm gonna attach a video that I shot in attempt to capture the sound, although the highway noise makes it hard to hear. Listen closely when you see the speedometer reach the range I mentioned.
Could it be my really old Eagle F1's makin a lot of noise? I don't think so, but thought I'd throw it out there. Sound like a rear end problem? Rear end was rebuilt about 10k mi ago. Like I said, sounded like this since the day I got it. Doesn't feel like a rear end problem...everything seems nice and tight.
I'm a noob at diagnosing this stuff, so any help is appreciated.
Edit: Can't get video to upload right now. Missing security token or some mess like that? I'll try later.
