My left blinker is very intermittent, I've literally raplaced all of the bulbs today besides the headlights and foglights. If I hold the switch (left turn signal) ever so slightly it works fine..
So am I right that my switch is bad?
Also, what is the exact bulb number for the white turn lamp? (Not the amber one) Is it 3157, or 3156.. or does it not matter? And where the heck is the 194 bulbs?.. Does this car even take any?

Correct. There are many 194 type bulbs in the interior.

Interesting...the owner's manual doesn't list any 194s...a number of 168s, though...

A 194 bulb can be used in place of the 168 bulb..I think it is a tad brighter..

Actually the 168 is brighter than the 194... By one candlepower I believe.

Ahh yes, LarryO is correct
They are the exact same size and you can use them interchangeably. The diffence is that the 168 will be brighter than the 194. Although it is brighter, the 168 will not last as long (1500 hrs) as the 194 (2500 hrs)
The 168 has 3 candle power vs the 194 with 2. Since the 168 is slightly brighter it produces a bit more heat 4.9 watts vs 3.8 watts.
That's like putting underdrives on your interior lighting..good for .0003 HP:D

Very possible the contacts inside are dirty / bad.

Guys, is it mandatory to remove the igniton switch to replace the MFS or not?

Not the switch, but you do need to remove the ignition cylinder.

To remove the ignition cylinder turn the key to the run position. There is a small hole in the bottom column cover (directly under the cylinder) that you put a very small screwdriver through and push up. That will release the ignition cylinder and let you pull it out.

Disconnect the negative cable first, correct? Would I run into any pats issues or anything after I put it back in? I take it that it's just the reversal to put it back in?
Also, when I disconnect the cable, will I lose memory to my key fob?

I've never disconnected the battery to pull the cylinder, and yes just reverse the steps for install with the exception that the cylinder will click back into position when put back in. If you do disconnect the battery you will not lose key fob memory.

Just disconnect the negative cable. Wait 15 or 20 minutes for the airbags system to de-energize. You don't want one to go off while your working in that area .
No PATS or key fob or keyless entry issues. You may have to reset the radio stations and clock.
