For those that it applies to.
What horsepower is your Marauder titled for.
Mine is 48 horses as registered in 2005.

Passenger Vehicles

Registration fees for passenger vehicles are determined by your vehicle’s taxable horsepower (http://dor.mo.gov/pdf/taxablehorsepowerchart.pdf). Your vehicle’s taxable horsepower is recorded on your title, or on your Application for Missouri Title and Registration.

For me its just number of cylinders and wheels. Doesn't matter how big cubic inches.

New Jersey uses number of wheels. A Caddy registers like a Yugo.

I've never heard of such a thing Waymon? IL just goes by a set price for passenger car, light truck, and motorcycle tags. When you get up to bigger trucks, and trailers and such it goes by GVWR.

In Virginia, the DMV annual registration fees are based on vehicle gross weight and type. Passenger cars (under 4000 lbs and 4001 to 6500), Pick-up Trucks (under 4000 pounds, 4001-6500, and 6501-7500), Moped, Motorcycle, Autocycle (whatever that is), and trailers. Antique vehicles have a one-time $50.00 fee. Commercial vehicles have a different scale.
