My MM needs the blend door actuator replaced, the part is about $70.00.

The work involves removing the dash sufficiently to the access the part. My question is how many hours does it realisticly take to do this job? Three hours about right?

Please don't tell me to do it myself, I can't, but I can help and have the tools. It's a driveway work place.

Thanks,

Pat

The first one I did took about 4 hrs. in the driveway. No parts left over and no rattles in the dash. It's also a good time to clean the backside of all the parts you take off.

IIRC, book time was around 7 hours, done so many now, got them down to a little over an hour, and made some tools along the way to expedite the procedure.

It may be worth takin' a little "vacation ride" to Ohio Pat??;)

My MM went from perfect to blowin' hot air on air conditioning, vent and heat. Told I nee the door blender actuator replaced.

Local radiator shop wants $500 to $600 labor plus parts. Local Ford dealer estimates about $800 to $1,000 total. They figure about 6-7 hours of factory trained mechanic time required. :violin::eek:

I bought a new blend door actuator (motor). Waiting for some warm weather to change it. The instructions sticky seems to be pretty complete. Gonna try it.

I had the same problem on an 08 Marquis LS... I changed the o-rings in the solenoids in the EATC and it worked great till I sold it for the MM

And a quick fix just disconnect the battery and connect it back and the blenddoor resets itself... That's a quick fix not longterm solution...
