It easy but why change them :dunno: Unless they are leaking no need to swap them out.

Question Can the air pump for the airbags be rebuilt. It is working but the pressure is down?

It probably can, but I don't know where or even if you can buy the individual parts.

Usually the case is all corroded from sitting in water as the factory didn't provide enough drainage for the plastic pan it sits in. Unless yours is pristine, a new one from Arnott is the ticket.

You can also get the parts... compressor & air bags from NAPA.

Hello again

We have made the changes of new airbags pump and Dryer and installed. It was fine till overnnight. Today it was mostly down again. After hours of looking for leaks ad there seems to be none. After a couple of hours of testing we had air again and was back to normal. after dirving a while, Pump was supplying air correctly

Is it possible for the system to run with the motor off?
Could the switch in the trunk have something to do with anything ? Could it be Intermittent ?

History tells me it can't run unless the motor is on and the system always held the air overnight regardless of the switch position?

Has to be a leak in the system right? Any help or ideas welcome.

Thanks sb

My Lincoln Continental drops every time you turn the key off.
When started, they go right up.
The Marauder only drops a few inches after the car is turned off.
Sometimes, even when the car is not started, the compressor will go on and raise the car.

We have installed new bags, from suncore in FL, and the rest all o rings tested an re-tested, the system is still loosing air over night, Any ideas where it might be losing air when no one is watching? Ha

No visable leaks while under testing, Loaded the trunk with a bunch of stuff from Costco. All was fine upon return and 5 hours later. The next morning it was down again. Down enough to make a bottomig sound and hard ride for about 15 minutes. goes up to normal then is fine till the next night?

soap and water and other leak testing has no result. Sustem is dry too.

Comment welcome sb

Air system stays active for 45 minutes after key off. Pump shouldn't run for more than 15 seconds or can burn up mine never did. I tried rebuilding my compressor( took apart cleaned up) didn't work get the sun core kit off eBay for 300 it's worth it. If you want stock bags I have my oems they still hold air. I only changed them when I did my rear axle

I have the suncore air bags and new compressor/dryer. Air bags inflate after getting in the car and turning the key to the ON position or starting the car.

If you get out of the car and shut the door with the car running or after being turned off the air bags will deflate some.

I noticed the last several times I drove the MM, it rode kind of rough and made me think the air compressor had not kicked on. Would get home and the bags would not deflate, acted like it had a mind of it's own sometimes and would work when it wanted to.

Yes mine has a mind of its own. But it's not the suncore obviously. Mine leans when I start up in the morning but levels out as soon as I start the car
