This is not on my MM. This is on the 93 Mustang. The rear main seal has a small leak and I don't want to pull the tranny to replace it at this time. Has anyone had any luck using the stop leak products out there. I see Bars makes one and claims it stops rear main seal leaks. if you have any experience with this, please share. Thanks in advance

I wouldn't touch that stuff , it will also clog your oil pick up , and then your rear main will not be the main problem.

Yep.
Fix it right or don't fix it at all.

I'd never use any stop leak.
Think of it this way...... It's made to plug up small holes / leaks. How many small holes are in the engine that will get plugged up?
$12.00 "fix" causing a potential 2K+ repair isn't worth it.

This stuff works on older dried out seals and carries no solids......I have used it for years!!

It is the same petroleum additive that they use in high quality Synthetic oils to keep seals flexible!!:bows:
Won't hurt a thing.....give it a whirl and if the leak's still there you have a damaged seal....
