My 2003 has 120k on it. When I leave a stop light or sign the throttle pedal has a slight stick to it, then go down. It's driving me crazy. I hate a lack of smooth throttle.

Any advice??

Thanks,
Glenn

Remove the intake tube at the throttle body then using WD-40 clean around the throttle plates. Hold the throttle wide open then spray all around..I use a rag wrapped around my fingers to clean it out. The buildup is causing the plates to stick which is what your feeling no worries WD-40 is safe to use for cleaning of the throttle body. Put the tube back on, start engine and take it for a spin.

General maintenance,,,cleaning throttle body, iac, tps, maf, fuel filter and redline injector cleaner will keep her smooth.

does the WD-40 clean work better than throttle body cleaner?

I prefer to use throttle body cleaner. Not much more than WD40 and you won't screw anything up.

Use WD-40 to lube and throttle body cleaner to clean. Don't use the TBC on any of the electronics, use a MAF cleaner or QD Electronics Cleaner spray for the sensitive stuff.

So I took mine for a rip today. I cleaned with a tooth brush the throttle plates, Cleaned as much black off as I could. But forgot to use WD40. I found it more sticky. Ill have to spray it with lube and repost my findings. The sticky throttle is a royal pain in the azz

You can see here the before and after pics. Wow it was dirty.
I used Krown lube spray. Nice now.
Installed it but now idle seems to hunt but I haven't road tested it yet.
Hopefully computer will adjust?
