Not sure if Marauder have the same oil filter adaptor as crown vics p71 but here it goes.

Found this picture online. Can someone tell me what the bolt in the yellow is for? I tried to remove mine and found a long skinny spring type piece in it so I left it as is. I was thinking of adding my after market oil gauge sending unit there but I guess not? Whats the purpose for that spring?

Looks like a bypass for the oil cooler lines.

Go to any FLAPS and get a brass "T" and put both your original fake oil pressure switch and the new gauge sender in place of the existing switch.

Am I looking for 1/4 or 1/8 for the oil filter adaptor tread?

AutoMeter senders are 1/8 NPT...I seem to remember I had to use the supplied 1/8 to 1/4 adapter when I replaced the OEM switch. If you're using another brand YMMV.

Or you can add a low pressure warning buzzer like I did. Comes on with less than 5PSI of oil pressure.

You mind showing me a few pics of.your little setup?
I beleive your marquis does not have the oil.cooler so your adaptor is slightly different. Looking at my adaptor on my lx sport where I had added the oil cooler unit, seems like a real tight fit where the sensor is.

I was told that I cwn remove the factory sending unit and just ground that wire to get the factory oil gauge to stay active at mid point. Is this true?

Yeah, the gauge will be in the middle grounding it
