I installed the loop and it has roughly 1/4 inch gap on the top which worries me that the driveshaft will rub on it over bumps. I might take the loop off and try to bend the arms a little. Anyone else have issues?

My Metco one has been installed for over 65K trouble free miles.

Do you have about the same clearance above?

Just for piece of mind I added spacers to gain the clearance I needed. I also hammered one of the valleys in the bottom of the floor pan so the bracket would sit flush. Just in case anyone has any future problems I posted this.

I never had a problem with a 3.5" DS. Then I bought a 4" DS and it hit. I had to cut the loop just above the mount on one side, re-radius it, and add a 1" filler piece and, weld it back together..... my car is also lowered so it compounded the problem.

Yeah it was weird. It did not sit at the center of the driveshaft without some hammering lol. I'm glad I did not have to modify it, seems like some heavy duty steel.

Have also had mine installed for 65,000+ miles with the same gap and there have been no issues .....
