So I'm stationed in Germany with my Marauder. Its been at the dealership since October due to an ignition problem. I finally get the car back today after them having to order parts from the states. Now the heater only wants to blow cold air. Its mid January and I really need heat just to defrost the windows to get to work in the morning. Is anyone aware of some things that could fix this. hopefully something that I can avoid taking my car back to the shop to fix.
Thank You,
Sean

Sounds like the Blend Door Motor, a common problem. The Blend Door Motor controls the blend door which mixes the hot & cold air to give the selected temperature. The part is about $75.00 (US) and the labor is about 3-4 hours. One word of caution.... only use a genuine Ford part. The aftermarket ones are cheaper but will fail much sooner than the Ford part will.

One more question, is the "Blend Door Motor" the same as the "Blend Door Actuator" Part# XW7Z-19E616-BA or YH-1766

No it's more towards the center of the dash, just to the right of the radio. Next to the firewall.

Yes that is the same thing.

Ok thank you, sorry to bug you do you know of a guide on here for what parts of the dash need to come out. I read in a previous thread that someone did it by removing the glove box. Is this a viable option?
