cheapest route to getting this thing back on the road? The check trans display just came on.. this a RWD Version.

Aviator trans is a 5-speed 5R55E.

Like above pointed out, not the MM trans.

Have you figured out what codes are being thrown? Your local FLAPS or your mechanic can help you if you do not have a OBD scanner.

First make sure all the spark plugs and COPs are in good working condition


The trans fill tube is underneath the truck and our mechanic used a special tool to pump the fluid into the trans. No pouring trans fluid in from the top like most cars. I wonder who got fired over that oversight, lol.

Find out what codes you have and then we (as a forum) can see if we can give you our thoughts on a fix. :)

That VIN above is not for an Aviator. It is for a '98 F150 Supercab 4X4.

04 mustang gt has a 4r75w, but there are parts that would need to be changed to work in the marauder.

No codes displayed.. waiting on my daughter to take it to FLAPS to find any stored codes.. She said it drove fine after sitting all day.. Going to get it serviced here
