What have you guys seen for average life of the trans on your cars? I've heard some say 100k, others 300k
I just turned over 120k. My driving is pretty much combined city/highway 50/50 and I don't rail on the car much and I turned down the aggressive shifts in my tune to where the tires didn't bark.
I changed the filter/fluid at 60k, doing it again next month.

Average life? Prob 150k.
Seen them fail at 30k, seen them fail at 300k.
Proper servicing plays a part, but use is a huge factor. Also sometimes its just luck of the draw.

Mary's car has over 190,000 miles, and the transmission fluid has been changed regularly.

Mine made it to 177K miles and the last 93K were with the ProCharger...started slipping in 1st gear!!:shake:
Rebuilt with spiral retaining ring and one extra clutch disk and now at 256K miles it WAS going STRONG.........hopefully to be resumed soon!!:burnout::D

A buddy of mine just had his rebuilt at 170K because his tail seal was leaking and he didn't feel like changing it. He figured it was time for a rebuild anyways. Lol

My first marauder's transmission Wass it's about 120,000 with pure disregard for shutting off the overdrive. As far as I know it's still going strong on the rebuild at well over 200,000.
My current daily driver has 130,000 on it and is on the original transmission with a trilogy and it shifts great, but I have serviced it every 30,000 miles since I bought it at 59,000 and I always shut off the overdrive and let it shift into third before I romp on it.
My blue marauder has been through three transmissions, possibly four. Reason: Reinhart
