I need suggestions on what to do my marauder s/c recently broke down.. I don't no what would be the best thing to do. I heard the 5.0 coyote block fits using my oem heads but don't no if that's my best bet.. my other option is building my stock block stronger. . What would be the best thing to do.. any suggestions let me no thanks. .

Pretty sure our heads wont bolt up to a 5.0 coyote block. Ide rebuild myself but definitely post goals

The coyote is a whole different engine. Its design and family is that of other Ford Modular V8's but its compatability with 4.6/5.4 engine components is pretty much nothing.

Maybe you are thinking about the Ford Racing Boss 302/5.0L engine block - Really good block if you do not mind iron.

To use a Coyote block without using the Coyote heads, not only prob would not work, but the heads are what is so special about the Coyote, the VVT is the reason those motors make such huge numbers in HP and MPG.

If you are s/c then go with a Ford reman 03/04 Cobra shortblock and call it a day.

Coyote will not bolt up to 4.6L parts. If you're going to go with a new block FRPP does make a stoker 5.0 out of a modular block that will directly bolt up.

Thanks for all the replies.. my budget is not all that great about 4 to 5 grand I don't want to accomplish much just as long the motor could handle the s/c.. now that I no that the coyote motor won't fit I'll have to look into something else mybe rebuild my stock block all performance or 03/04 cobra would be nice too...

Absolutely nothing wrong with the stock WAP block.. Now the powdered rods, cast pistons, and cast crank, yeah.. Put your monies there.

If money's not a problem, then pull the trigger & try for a full Coyote swap. It's been talked about a lot but never actually done. You could be the first! If not, then a Ford Racing 5.0 shortblock would be a great choice. That could be bored out to 5.3L. Your stock heads should be good. You can use your stock intake, but you could also go with a Ford Cammer intake. They're expensive, but incredible for racing applications. A gnarly set of cams was never a bad thing either; something like a Comp XE270BH-114. I like to stay in all motor land. Can't wait to see what you go with, have fun!!
