Anybody done this yet? I bought the amber bulbs but it was not obvious how to open up the turn signal corner lamps. Any help?

Thanks in advance.

You need to remove the radiator header cover. Then you must remove your headlights. Then there are two bolts that need to be removed from the inner side near the front of the lamp. When they are removed slowly pull the housing away from the body "front" side first, and be carefull not to snap the clip at the rear side of that holds the rear of the lamp in place. Once you get the housing out you just twist the bulb retainer and remove the bulb. I hope this helps. Good Luck

From the owner's manual (page 45):

Replacing front parking lamp/turn signal bulbs
The park/turn lamp bulbs can be replaced with out removing the
headlamp assembly.
1. Make sure headlamp switch is in OFF position, then open the hood.
2. Remove the three pin type retainers and the radiator shield.
3. Remove the headlamp assembly retaining nuts, the side turn signal
lamp retaining nuts and the side turn signal assembly.
4. Remove the bulb from the side turn lamp assembly.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb and replace the
bulb.
Note: The parking lamp/turn signal bulbs should not be removed from
the lamp until just before a replacement bulb is installed. Removing the
bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb
performance. Contaminants may enter the headlamp where they can
settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn the lamps on with the bulb
removed.
6. To install, reverse the order of the removal procedure.

If you don't have an owner's manual, they're available here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=95508).

If you've got deep well 1/4" sockets and a flexible hand; two bolts under the removable shield are all you need to remove that side marker without removing the headlights. Done this on several whale Panthers as removing the headlights is a pain in the @$$ on a Marauder or MGM. My '98 TC was great...pull out three pins and the whole assembly came out!

Correction: a flexible and small hand. There's no way my extra large pinecone hamhock fits in that space, let alone with a tool to remove two bolts
