Just got my Marauder last week. Has practically brand new Nitto's on the back. Been a while since I owned a car. Mostly had jeeps and trucks. Snowed about a foot by me yesterday. The plows had already come by so I figured I would shovel out behind her and back her out so I could clean off the driveway. Yeah right ! Got her stuck in the middle of the street in like 2 inches of snow. Took about an hour to get her back in place. So, new car doesn't like snow. Check.

I've owned better vehicles for snow driving, but I've had reasonable success with Cooper RS3-A's on mine.

Depends on which Nittos you're talking about. I didn't have any problems with 420s in 8 " of snow. Just need to put weight in trunk.

+1 on this! I have Motivos on da back, n about 100 pounds of kitty litter in da trunk. With the traction control off, I get around just fine. Starting out in 2nd helps too.

When I bought this car I knew I needed a winter beater before I even drove it. You guys are crazy!

That was the original plan for me. Unfortunately my beater was totaled, and the insurance money went to having my MMs engine rebuilt. On a better note, my girlfriend just won some money in a lawsuit, and says she's gonna buy me a new beater. Sooooon! :D That makes me happy.

Bridgestone X-ice snow tires are simply incredible. So good I took all the weight out and had no issue keeping right up with the SUVs even passing the dumb ones..

You mean Michelin right? That's all I see on TireRack vs Bridgestone Blizzacks

I knew that I wanted a winter car before I bought another Marauder. Mostly because I didn't want to expose a salt and rust free Marauder to rust. And the bat***** crazy drivers around here that crash into anything when there is snow on the ground.

I run the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tire in the winter here in Minnesota. 235/55 on the front and 255/55 on the rear.

Pirelli Scorpion snow tires on our SB got us around in the snow pretty well.

I found steering was more of a problem than traction. Front end would tend to float if you got moving to fast. So slow and steady got us there every time.

Now the car sleeps in the Winter.:)

You are correct Wayman. I just sold them to Gary last fall and he was loving them as well.
