Plastic Trim around the back up lights.

I have the L/H plastic trim next to the back up light that is really scratched. I have tried to polish it with just wax but no help. My question is can you use a kit that is used for the head lights? Or do I have to paint both sides?

Are you talking about the whole panel between the taillights? If that's what you're talking about, you can actually get black wax. I used that last year before Woodward & it did a good job of subduing (didn't completely take care of it) the scratches on the top of my decklid. Keep in mind, it's not a permanent fix.
