I bought my MM with 127k on it in November 2013 and not sure when the PO actually changed the plugs. So I started getting a slight misfire at low RPMs under a load so decided it was time. I currently have 144k. Well when i pulled the old ones out they were Motorcraft AGSE 32WM. They were verry worn and Im very glad i replaced them.
Im curious if the stock plugs would last this long? Its likely someone swapped them out with factory plugs sometime along the way sometime but these were basically nubs! Just curious. Found it interesting.

Are you sure it's not AGSF 32WM, I just found my old plugs and that's the number on them.
Most likely the wide gap was causing the misfire.
How hard were they to remove? I've heard stories of damaged threads when removing plugs that were in way too long. Dislike metals sometimes weld themselves together.

Looking closely at the picture, they do say AGSF...
Also, it's possible they are original...my 2000 Grand Ma, purchased in July of '13, had a little over 120,000 at the time and it had the original plugs.

They really werent hard to remove at all. The engine was cold and they nudged out pretty easily. When i saw the first one i pulled i was really surprised to see they were Motorcraft and could possibly be original. Pretty impressive they would last so long. The misfire is gone and it idles noticeably smoother so i assume that had to be my issue.

I've seen many cars go way beyond 100,000 on original plugs. I wouldn't be concerned. I would be more concerned on fluids being changed regularly.

Does the tip of the coil side have a white or purple-ish paint spot on it ?
If yes they the factory installed plugs..that's the way Ford does it.

Yes the plugs had what looked like a greenish dot. Crazy. Ive had the car over a year and ive done most the fluids. Added a drain plug to the trans pan and for the first 3 oil changes i did a drain and fill on the trans with Mobil 1 trans fluid.
I did a brake flush since the brake fluid was horrible and i havent touched the coolant, partly because the car runs pointed at the 20mph always and partly cause I havent gotten familiar with the coolant air burping procedure.
How long do the coils last on average?

I forgot that they used green also but they are factory installed plugs.
You're going to get a lot of different answers on how long original coils last, and it does it vary quite a bit. I recently changed all of mine at 140K (all originals) when it comes to coils stick with factory Motorcraft coils.
