It is a nice car only 30K. I bought it a few years ago as I never had a convertible before. My wife does not like it at all, which I found surprising. She would prefer that I got a new style Camaro which I don't like. I have been thinking of selling the Mercedes or the Marauder since they are both summer cars, (no salt) to me. With them both on the road I put so few miles on them it seems ridiculous. The Marauder is not quite at 29K yet. The wagon is my all season car.

It was a salvage car with skin damage on three sides. Not bent up, no unibody damage. The fellow who fixed it sc***** a running donor vehicle for the skins So it is all OEM. I bought it with the paintwork complete and debuged the non functioning systems, AC, Audio, lights, cooling, SRS so that all works fine now. Found all the correct Silver Arrow parts it needed. Silver Arrow is a limited production run with 1,400 sold wordwide. It needs a set of tires. They are really big meats, The back rims and tires are wider than the fronts, part of the SA package. The car is pretty fast for a 5.0 V8 and has a limited max speed of 155mph. Not that I got it up there. She does like to move and sticks to the road.

The ragtop can make it more fun than the Marauder but I have a soft spot for the Mercury.

I know my dog Bennie would miss it. He rides in the compartment behind the seats like he is in a carpeted cave. It surprises folks when he pops his head up at a stop light.

I think I know somebody selling a 911 :flamer:

In all seriousness though, what kind of sports car are you looking for? Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW etc? N/A or Boosted?

I don't really know what they are worth now. I would have to see what they are selling for with similar miles & clean titles and figure down somewhat from there.

Needless to say Bennie is not for sale, regardless of price.

Prefer to deal directly with an owner, not some third party just looking to make a buck off someone.

If I hit the lotto, Audi S8 or Porsche Turbo S. With today's money, probably a Porsche or Audi, owned by a purist.

That's not something to brag about. Not everyone can rely on others to support themselves.

Your Dog is "Sharp" AKC all the way/ I will bet that you have your 'LOCK STICK' in the trunk in case he has to Lock ON to anybody that he thinks may be potential harm to YOU and the family. [ LOL] Your Generation Benz is very reliable ,the later model ones with the 'ABC' automatic body control can be financial BALL busters when they Fail. You have a great Auto.

You must be tired from all those pizza deliveries yesterday.
Good thing that your wife picked up that 2nd and 3rd job.

How exactly does one sc***** a running donor is my question.

How exactly does one sc***** a running donor is my question.

I did think the censor function was wrapped a bit too tight in this case.

As far as the Mercedes goes I have had no failures since I put it together. Only a few thousand miles over 4 years but still I am happy about that.

The Marauder had two very minor failures over the same span. The pillar mounted srs impact sensor gave up the ghost and one window switch led light.

My right pillar mount SRS switch failed also and "Silver Surfer" picked one for me out of his recycle yard months before he moved. Tasca ford had one in stock at that time and none were available on the east coast . P71's did not have them .

My search is on hold. I was originally going to by my Acadia at lease turn-in time, but changed my mind. Searching out a used Lincoln MKT this week to take it's place.

Thanks for most everyone's help!

My co-worker sold a beautiful used 2007 Yukon XL to an "undocumented immigrant" on unemployment yesterday. :shake: I shoveled snow on the lot for 12 hours for free. No sales, no $$.

Bragging that you have no job.
