Question for those who have installed their own aftermarket fuel pump, ie a AEM320 or Aero 340.

Did you need to use the pigtail included with the pump and how did you connect the pigtail wires to either the factory wiring or wiring install kit?

My concern is of using heatshrink or butt connectors that will be submersed in fuel - Most heatshrink will swell and deteriorate quickly, I'm not so sure about butt connectors but I try to avoid crimped connections at all costs.

Solder, heat shrink, forget about it

It will be fine

You can also get heatshrink tube with epoxy inside. Just make sure it's rated for use with fuel.

+1 Lowes and Home Depot carry "heavy duty" heatshrink that seals itself when heated, I used some on my O gauge wire....
