Can any of you help me locate a rear bumper nut that you tighten inside the trunk just underneath the latch? One is missing on my car and causing water to get into my trunk. Have had a puddle in my trunk every time it rained for the past few months and tonight finally took the time to diagnose it and the only place I see water getting in is where that nut should be. If you happen to have an extra or know of a website that sells them please let me know. Thanks.

Take the other one out and match it up at your local hardware store.....

It's a metric nut. And most common cause of water in trunk in from the trunk lid gasket being worn out, damaged or the trunk lip on the front, back and sides being slightly bent down causing the gasket to not contact the trunk lid. Good test is take a piece of firm paper about 6" wide by about 12" long. Put it on the gasket and hold it outside the trunk. Close the lid and try to pull out the paper. If it slides out easy, the gasket may not be making good enough contact. Do this all around the trunk. You would be amazed that only a small 1/8" to 1/4" of opening can cause a lot of water to get inside.
