Hey,
I got my Superchips 9100 SCT hooked it up to the car as directed.
I had a choice of two files "PF" and "RF",
I am guessing that PF = premium fuel and RF = regular fuel, am I right?
And what is the difference between the two?
I loaded the "PF" program for now seeing I run 93 octain (and above) for my everyday driving. Was this the correct thing to do?
Thanks in advance.

Haven't had a chance to use mine yet, as my gears still haven't arrived. However, your reasoning on the PF and RF codes makes sense to me.

I believe that is supposed to be "Premium Fuel" and "Racing Fuel". MM does not like regular gas. :nono:

You are correct sir.
My tunes are named FDH2 410PF and FDH2 410RF, but yours will have your car's PCM code instead of mine! 410 of course refers to the gear ratio. I haven't tried the race fuel tune.
The tuner will be VIN locked, so you won't be able to flash into anyone else's PCM (even if they had the same PCM code). You should be able to read the DTCs on other cars though.
There's no other use for my 9100 SCT other than reading DTCs. Any difference on yours?
I can't adjust the speed limiter gear ratios, shift points / firmness, or fan temp on the fly like the 1725. I have to send it back to DR for changes. Oh well, future "upgradability", DR's tune, and the ability to reflash to the stock tune are worth it. Just make sure you let him know your PCM code and that you're running 4.10s if you ever have to send it back!

I can use my 9100 to store 3 of my own custom tunes.

Thanks for the information.
The details were kind of sketchy when I received it.
