i have 2003 MM. wondering which is a better Option or better performance or better life for the Tranny .. when comparing Trans-Go shift kit , Part ## AODEHD2-- To a J-mod , to the Trany....
has any one gone the route of the Trans-Go shift kit, - if so - how was the before and after -improve in performance -and overall opinion of prouduct..
Is one better over the other - is there certain areas one is better at - then the other????

IMO..jmod-shift kit with boost is an accident waiting when it is wet out...Dry ok..but don't need wheels breaking loose just because it can. IMO
as far as I know, nobody on here talks about transgo kit..all those with jmod in general.

Get a tune if you want more performance..The factory tune is garbage for shift schedule. I recommend MO's Speed shop..nothing wrong with a jmod..a lot of members here have it.

MY car had a trans go, and it had to be rebuilt, don't know if that was the cause or my crazy driving.

If you control your foot during rain or wet times then the J-Mod is the way I went. I have two of them and love them...

There is no Jmod kit..it is a do it yourself operation..there are countless videos on you tube aout them..look for a CVN member Rizzo you tube video. he has done like 15+ jmods himself.
You drill some holes larger in the separator plate, delete or change some springs and that's about it.
We have given you a few links with instructions and parts required.

VAP auto used to sell jmod kit, but no longer does.. Here I found the Rizzo video on you tube. If you can't do it, then road trip to Romulus, MI and have him do it for a small fee. or find a local trans shop that is willing to watch the video and do it themselves.

I did the J Mod 12 years ago and have loved it. Did it my self. When I am going to get on it I take it out of over drive.
