Royal purple oil

Walmart is the best price wise I have found. One gallon is around 35 bucks if I remember correctly.

I use it in the motor,trans,& rear gears.
Only cost may affect you cus the MM uses 7 litres. :eek:

I like the stuff. Used to use it on all my cars. But it causes leaks now that our cars are old. Switched back to regular oil and the cars no longer leaks.

My opinion on Royal Purple is that if they have to dye this crap purple to sell it, then it is NOT for me. I use Mobil1 and have for many years. Not saying Royal Purple isn't good oil. I just think there is too much gimmickry going on for me. YMMV

Mobil I works fine and even the Walmart brand works OK.....I guess......have used Walmart stuff in my truck for several years ($18.00 for 5 quarts)!!:beer:

A lot of these products are just "Feel Good" products and VERY profitable for the sellers??;)

Royal Purple is an excellent oil.

So are Pennzoil Platinum...Quaker State Ultimate Durability...Mobil 1...Valvoline Synpower...Castrol Syntec...AMSOIL...pick one that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy and worry about something important.

The best thing to do whatever oil you use is use a quality oil filter like a Motorcraft FL820S.

I always use Mobile 1 oil . In the past I used Regular Royal Purple 1 time and drained it out the next day. I didnt like it at all. Now Royal Purple XLR Racing Oil ( around $15 qt ) I've used before drag racing in the past and It's a great oil for that use. Every car runs a little different with different oils ( that is if a person really knows their car well ) so use what you feel you car runs best on.
